Cellulite Reduction

$70-80 per session

Using new revolutionary techniques to decrease the appearance of cellulite dimples, including dry needling and cupping for trigger points.

Skin dimpling, also known as cellulite, is caused by tight connective tissue bands between the skin and underlying fascia and muscle, with a fat layer in between. These dimples are exacerbated by tight knots called trigger points in the muscle and fascia, which cause more tension on the connective tissue bands pulling the skin inward. Releasing these trigger points can reduce this tension and decrease the depth of cellulite dimples, resulting in smoother, more even skin texture.

In a small trial conducted here at Healing Hands, clients between the ages of 35 and 55 reported an average of 67% reduction in cellulite severity after 3 sessions of dry needling combined with prescribed stretching exercises at home. Deeper dimples showed more improvement with the addition of cupping.

The treatment involves inserting acupuncture needles into trigger points, or tight/tender knots in muscles, that are felt underneath cellulite dimples. Some clients see even more improvement with the use of cupping, using suction to further mobilize the muscles and fascia. This treatment has shown to be remarkably effective at reducing the appearance and depth of cellulite dimples, while also improving overall muscle tone and decreasing myofascial pain associated with muscle trigger points.

Results may vary depending on age and body type. Additional treatment sessions may be necessary depending on the number of needles used per session.
